Okay, so I don't really know if this particular mushroom gives any type of psychedelic effect, but it sure looks psychedelic. My mom has tons of these pop up in her yard every year, and this is what happens to them after a few days.
That is bizarre. On my recent trip to the UP. I must have taken pictures of 20 different mushroom species. They were as prolific as wildflowers in spring.

This is a really cool pic. Never seen a mushroom look like that before. Cool.
