We took a quick little mini-vacation over the weekend downstate and while we were there, we paid a visit to Ann Arbor, home of the University of Michigan, and also the birthplace of many of my family members. Ann Arbor is a quirky town with lots to see and do. Since we were pressed for time, I didn't get many pictures here, but I just had to get a shot of this interesting house. I love it! It is so unique and just the kind of house I would love to live in.

Very quirky indeed. I love the porch.
Wow very beautiful and cute house. Looked like a candyhouse. :)
Hmm, is it the legendary house of the rising sun of song fame...may be not quite in New Orleans, but with that gable painting?
That's just so sweet.

It is very interesting, bright and cheery!
That is one cute little cottage, love the decoration on it.
What a beautiful house. I love the sun rays. I used to live in Ann Arbor in the 70s. There were quite a few outrageously painted houses.
