My husband does sub-contract work for a company called Moran Iron Works. The owner, Tom, builds a new statue every year. These statues are kept a surprise all year, and then get unveiled during the Independence Day parade. His latest unveiling was this Miss Liberty. Tom builds these, but he is not a painter, so guess who gets to do the paint work? Yep, that would be my husband. This statue now sits in front of a Subway in Onaway, Michigan.

Cool. Do you get to photograph everything that hubby brings "home" to work on?
Thanks for sharing this.
Ewok - Yes, I keep telling him he needs to let me make a portfolio for him. LOL

Great photo! Thanks for sharing!
Shannon: It was nice of you to share this part of your world.
That looks really funny. You could put a ladder there and take people to see sights from the tower, just like in the real one.
What a wonderful thing to leave your mark like this
Waht a strange sight, buts fascinating
Now that's interesting, and a great glimpse into your world. It must make life interesting to see what's created each time.
Super -- a stylized Ms Liberty...
Looks like a lot of work went into that...
And tell your husband that the paint job looks great...

Cool, almost like the statues on Easter Island :-)
Beautiful shot of the statue. I'd love to see that in person.
